Further the time goes through discussions of ECOFIN Housing Crisis Issues, just before their awaited coffee break, just as the last discussion commences, a circle has formed.
The ECOFIN council delegates have dived into and investigate the root causes and affordability of housing prices amidst the hikes of interest rates. Within the first few motions passes, more stances have shown either to bind them together or to separate their ideals and expected outcome. Despite the different or same reasoning, they still all work together and form different topics, motions, or causes.
Over the discussion with a free flexible motion, delegates are shown to immediately continue discussing towards the conversation determining and overlaying what should go into specifics and what could be further discussed on to the upcoming topic and sessions. Knowing this they formed a large circle inner prior to the tables and let everyone be a part of the circle, acknowledging one another. The shape of which this discussion happens to be, is a circle, known to be easier to form and equalize everyone’s standing in an inertia way.
Though filled and standing in a much cramped space, they gathered together still listening, debating, conversing their voices. We as humans may prefer shapes and objects that evoke safety and are not so fond of objects with sharp angles and pointed features, as they suggest threat and injury: think of the thorns and spines of a plant, the sharp teeth of an animal, or the cutting edge of a rock. To immediately form a circular shape for an important matter of discussion may just be the human interactions and experience of this shape.
The ECOFIN council creates the space freely by their own stances in the perfect shape, circular that evokes calmness and peacefulness alongside their discussion with the same respective feelings.
