During the discussion on the topic of the complexities of the Sino-Indian Border Conflict and of the effects of interpretations and compliance to international security, there were multiple productive and interesting topics which were shared throughout the discussion. All the delegates in the UNSC council spoke with different solutions, but with the same purpose, to resolve the conflict between China and India. One delegate in particular, specifically the delegate of Japan believes that the root cause of the problem was just a bit of miscommunication and could be resolved with a bit of transparency from both sides.

The overlapping border of India and China has caused many disputes and conflicts, most delegates brought up the agreement during 1993 and 1996 between China and India. Some delegates stated that India drew the borders without any consent from China’s representatives therefore causing the overlapping border. The delegate of China has stated that China is open to communicate with India, and that if the world kept on using colonial logic, colonial problems would keep on arising. In conclusion, most delegates in the UNSC council believed that the root causes of the dispute between China and India was caused by miscommunication and a lack of transparency between the two countries.
