The Fiery & Unabashed Chinese Delegate in BRICS+

As the delegates of Russia, Indonesia, and Iran dominated the committee session with their clear and direct stance on the topic of BRICS+ economic strategy against the global domination of the dollar, the Chinese delegates weren’t afraid to voice their opinion on the matter of de-dollarization. As the session goes on, the delegates of China continue to voice their critical opinion on the US Dollar and how it only benefits the US and its allies and not the global world as a whole.

They would point out a few things such as, how the US Dollar has brought nothing but trouble for the global south countries, how their news agencies such as Fox news is nothing but a fascist propaganda channel, and how they intend to strengthen each nation’s currency so as to not depend so much on the US Dollar. Their grammatically incorrect yet unabashed tone in voicing out their opinions brings not only a feeling of courage for all the other delegates, but also a feeling of laughter & silliness to the committee session.

The Chinese distrust in America has grown ever present these last few years and the tension between the two countries reached a boiling point during the re-election of President Donald Trump in 2024, where just a few months after he was elected, his administration put a 145% tariff on all Chinese goods entering the US. This outrageous tariff imposed on China by the US angered the Chinese, and during the session, they accused Fox News, a news agency known for its conservative bias in reporting, of being nothing more than “Fascist Propaganda” and only working “for the interest of the Republican Party”. 

As the session goes on, we will see whether or not the peculiarities of the Chinese delegates inspire a sense of hope for the BRICS+ members or instead, alienate them further to the point of no solution and therefore losing the battle against the dominant US Dollar.
